In light of Prime Minister M. Édouard Philippe’s announcement that France’s “stay-at-home” order has been extended to 15th April, 2020, the Embassy of Nigeria in France,has extended its suspension of Consular, Passport and other related services, in line with this directive.
You should note also that, as the number of Covid-19 cases in Nigeria increase, the Federal Governmentand several State Governments have accordingly restrictedmovements of people and business activities in order to drastically contain the number and spread of infections from the virus in the country.
I urge you therefore to abide by all government directives. Most importantly, Stay at home, observe social distancing and only go out for emergencies.This approach is proving to be the most effective measure we can take to guard our communal healthandto defeat the Covid-19 virus,if we are toreturn to normalcy as soon as possible.
As the Prime Minister has also hinted that the stay-at-home order may be further extended if necessary, the embassy’s services may have to be similarly extended.
